More than pure function: a climbing aid could also provide aesthetic, sculptural qualities to it’s counterpart – the plant. The design of the modular tendril system takes its inspiration from the attention loving Memphis design in combination with the nature loving Scandinavian design. A variety of modules can be freely arranged around a stable centre rod and assist plants of all sizes. In combination, the create their very own piece of art.

During the design process the focus was on finding exciting combinations of forms inspired by architectural projects and sculptural art installations. To get an visual idea of the interplay of organically grown plants and vertically lined up geometric shapes, different and colorful photomontages were created.
