Christa Carstensen is a product and lighting designer from northern Germany. She has a degree in Industrial Design as well as a degree in European Media Studies. Her work is inspired by Nordic simplicity, innovative sustainable visions, bold aesthetics and clear design.

She has participated in international exhibitions such as Alcova Milan and Vienna Design Week. Her designs have been mentioned by dezeen, ELLE Decor and designboom.

Christa Carstensen’s Harvest/Solar lighting design is currently on display at the Vitra Design Museum. The object is part of the exhibition „Transform! Designing the Future of Energy“.
