About This Project

FIBCRO SEAT is an outdoor chair for public spaces. The chair is made of two identically pressed shells that form the seat and the backrest. They are made out of Fibcro – an innovative sandwich material made of agricultural residues and fiberglass scrim. The material is robust, weather-resistant, stable and offers a certain flexibility. It is thus ideally suited for use in public spaces.

The FIBCRO SEAT is complemented by a steel frame. The base, inspired by a H-beam, follows the shape of the shells. Thanks to a narrow distance between the shells and the shape of the foot, no water remains on the seat. In addition, the light color of the seat prevents it from heating up too much in the sun. The material and the shape of the shells allow a simple and efficient production.
